Hello, I'm Maria
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent. An expat living in Madrid, Spain.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Spain wasn't in the cards for the long run. Similar to many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, fresh routines, heightened expectations. Daily tasks seemed more tangled than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning on the job. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Glijel Sevnur Etujel Ti
The online landscape mostly offered corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Spain.
What This Site Does (And Doesn't)
This site is:
- Practical know-how gained from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever something genuinely changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Spain continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I will continue recording what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Maria
